Are apartments safe? Living in an apartment may be a fun and unique experience but
consider your apartment security, namely apartment gates. This includes entrance,
exit and pool gates.
Security gates, otherwise known as electronic gate systems are a fundamental deterrent
against unwanted visitors. They can look both decorative and be functional for your
security needs.
Entrance and Exit Security Gates
Consider the scenario that you are moving into a gated apartment complex. You need
to be sure how effective the security gates are and do they actually work? Make
an attempt to get into via the keypad entry system or try going in following behind
another car. You need to be certain that the gates do serve the purpose as intended
and not just for looks. Gated communities are attractive to potential residents
and may allow property managers to charge a premium for rent. Consider if the extra
cost and if it’s really worth it.
Pool Gates
Apartment pools must be fenced and the gates must close and latch on their own.
This prevents not only unwanted visitors but children from wandering into the pool
area. For a child to use a pool an adult must always be inside the area, watching
over their child.
