External Home Security Measures

It is vital nowadays to have home security measures in place and this starts with measures that are external to your property. The first line of defence to an intruder gaining entry onto your land is the external area around your home.

If you have passageways or entry ways around your home then you must take the necessary steps to secure these. Burglars prey on properties that are easy to break into and this includes properties that provide very easy access to such as passageways. Consider fitting high gating that is lockable and make sure only a select few have the key. Consider your outbuildings, garden sheds and garages. Most people have valuable items stored in these such as power tools, gardening equipment and the like.
