Monitored Home Security System Installation

Monitored home security is when an alarm system is connected to an alarm monitoring center. The connection is either via a standard cable land line or via a cell phone technology. If the alarm is activated by an attempted burglary, the alarm monitoring center will receive the call and immediately deal with the emergency.

Most monitoring companies will make an attempt to ring you straight back and unless they receive the correct pass-code from whoever answers the phone or if no-one picks the phone up at all, they will call the appropriate emergency service to attend your property.

Some alarm control panels have buttons for fire, police or medical so that you can contact the monitoring center with your specific emergency at the touch of a button. This offers comfort and peace of mind for vulnerable people such as the elderly, disabled or people living by themselves.

The homeowner will pay a small monthly fee for the peace of mind of having their home watched over 24 hours a day. You can be rest assured that help will always be there with monitored security to protect you and your family.

Traditionally, monitored home security relies on a regular land phone line connection. This is all fine as long as the line is not faulty or the burglar does not disable it in some way such as cutting the cable. Fortunately with the expansion of cellular mobile networks, backup connectivity can be installed in addition to your phone line by means of a cellular direct connection. If your land line fails to dial the monitoring company the cellular line will take over and make the call.

The great advantage of installing a monitoring home alarm system is that you will often find your insurance premiums will be lower as there is far less risk of a burglary. The savings in insurance will go some way to paying for the monitoring costs so its almost like having free security monitoring.
